Just come back from our second ever outing with our caravan. We were held up & had to pitch in the dark. I have to say I am really proud of my OH for reversing it nearly, very nearly into a straight position on the pitch. It was a challenge in the dark but we did it!
We are loving this caravanning lark so much.

Oh that's nice I love that feeling - I remember when OH reveresed into a very very tight pitch (it was a funny shape) the owner said un-hitch and I'll be back in a minute, - by the time he came back we were in the space - I was really chuffed, so I know how you feel.
Enjoy many years of that feeling

We are in Chester at the moment and I got a 260 porch awning locally off e-bay.. Put it up last night in the pitch black, cursing at laying things down and not being able to find them.
Just read fat bums post and remembered that I put my new Aldi head torch in the car before I left home in case I needed it. Doh!!!
Its 'other half' lol.
I pitched in dark first time 3 weeks ago at Ripley caravan site (Harrogate). Must say i was beginning to worry a bit as we got closed to site but warden was brilliant and drove us around so that we went in forwards..'result' Didn't bother with awning though, 8.30pm on a friday night in the dark, no thanks!
------------- I went to the top of the mountain...and looked over the other side!
