It's that time of year to either put the little van into hibernation or, if continuing, to put the awning into its cupboard until spring. So there I am at the kitchen sink giving the awning pegs a good wash and blow dry only to be rebuked by the wife for being silly. "That's just finding work for the sake of it" she bellows.
"Look after your pegs and your pegs will look after you, Issac Newton used to say" I holler back
You know when you are cleaning the rubber awning carpet at the end of the season -you know the ones with the little holes to enable breathing so the grass doesn't go yellow - Well a very thin bottle brush is really useful for cleaning off any remnants of mud in those holes. "You're COD" she shouts! "That's OCD I think you will find and I'm not" I reply
Is there any support out there for such thoroughness?

Not a very personal touch, Lobey, not much TLC in blasting things with a jet. Tried that with the kids and it just didn't feel right

And Phil, you should have put the brush attachment on the pressure washer, now that would have been a personal touch.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Just got back from the launderette. Awning washed and tumble dried a treat. Visit to the local Lorry park tomorrw to run the caravan through their washer.

It's supposed to be a clear night so the rock pegs have been left on the washing line overnight. With a slight breeze their tinklind sound is quite relaxing.
Tomorrow its the duraglit. Need to have them put away really nice and shiny so when I get them out next spring they will be the envy of fellow caravanners. I often get comments about "That's the shinyest I have ever seen, bet you're pround of his pegs missus"
Desil Steve comments "truck wash chemicals have acid in them so DO NOT PUT CARAVAN THRU IT.IT WILL DAMAGE THE PAINT." Just not true - the crazy patterns it leaves make my van just so different to everyone else's and cleaner.
Carvanners are just tooooooo serious:-)
Now where is the Ronseal to go over the interior veneer with to be ready for next year?

Duraglit? You are definitely COD. (doesn't that just sound better than OCD?)
The rinse aid in our dishwasher seems to help. "Finish", of course, and only from Waitrose. The free cappuccino is yummy.
But I am thinking of dipping the plastic deltas in yacht varnish to maximise their general glideability and mud shedding qualities. I'm sure it would work.
