Just to throw a grenade in to the conversation what about if you have an on board tank? I have a large under slung water tank must be about 80lts now I fill this currently from my aqua roll using the switch over on the pump this allows me take water from the aqua roll to the tank using the external pump and then switch over to the internal pump to get water from the tank to the taps to fill the main tank it takes tow trips with the aqua roll or fit one of the afore mentioned ball valves and a hose to the mains.
I was thinking could I fit a ball valve to the main tank and a short length of hose and a connector so I could plug a hose directly from a mains tap to the van to this negating the need for the aqua roll to do the initial fil.
Question is would a ball valve stand up to the vibration etc when being permanently fitted in to the tank and the van is being towed around? the rest is basic pluming and easily done.
