Hi we got an isabella minor last year paid quite a lot for it . We have now got a seasonal pitch and wanted to px it . It is a 2012.or 13 awning . We have only been offered 150 in part x do they normally drop the price this much. We got it from glossop caravans .only want to px cos hubby said a full one would be better if we aare leaving it uo all the time. We would take down in oct every year though .becauxse of the high winds ect. Someone said it will be ok but add extra poles to the one we have ....dont know how. We have also been told you need steel poles for long standing awnings. Its a minefield . Anyone give us any advice also why is it only worth 150 whenwe paid 500 ...

You would probably be better to sell it privately and then look for a good 2nd hand full awning. We bought an Isabella last year off Preloved for £250 for a 975cm Capri Lux. Ours has the carbon fibre poles.

We have ours on a seasonal pitch and leave it up from March to the end of October. We do put additional poles across the awning roof. They are "Verandah poles" and we attach them from the middle of the two side roof poles to the centre roof pole. We have also put two extra leg poles at the back of the awning (next to the caravan walls). This makes the frame more rigid.

As with anything you are selling as a part trade in or just selling to a dealer you shall never get the same price as you would if you sold it independently, remember the dealer does not want to use this they are buying it for resale so need to offer you well under it's second hand market value so they can make some money. This can seem frustrating and that they are trying to rip you off but they are in business and have to make a profit so you can't really blame them.
Try ebay or some of the other auction or on line sale sites awnings always seem to go for a good price remember if you do use an auction site to put your minimum reserve price on it so you don't get less than you wanted.

good luck

HI Maggie 51 Sell private put on Preloved,or even free ad in back of Practical Caravan Mag lots sell there. if you want seasonal awning look at Dorema Web site Dutch awnings

They have depot in Castleford Yorks can get up to 40% off.

Order storm poles, straps and pads no need to damage side of van. my Present seasonal awning is from there andstood up to the last hurricane we had no probs while next doors Isabella end up 100yards away in farmers field it ripped and left bit that goes in awning rail behind.

My size 19 awning only cost me £906 with full awnig mat and all storm gear instead of £1268 give or take £2.00

You could be there to Castleford and back home in 2 hrs with new awning.

Sounds to me that they are just trying to get a deal and not actually giving you proper advice. You mentioned on another post that the awning they are holding for you has fibre glass poles....you need steel if you are leaving it up on a seasonal pitch. The fact he is trying to tell you otherwise makes me question his recommendation.

I agree with everyone else, sell your isabella privately. Do not part exchange it at that price, Gosh if you were nearer me Id have it for more than you have been offered.

Regarding leaving a seasonal up, there is lots of advice on here about how to add poles and other ways to make it stronger. I know as I searched when I bought my full awning. You can buy extra poles easily.
