We recently purchased a Kampa Air Ace awning which came with all the necessary however no wheel arch draught skirt.
All our previous awnings have come with the draught skirt that fits along the bottom and a wheel arch draught skirt that connects to the bottom skirt via a figure 8 to stop sagging by the wheels and to prevent draughts.
The Kampa draught skirt is black and black wheel arch draught skirts are not available. We had to use the wheel arch draught skirt from our Ventura Marlin awning.
Did your Kampa Air come with a wheel arch draught skirt? Thanks.
I hate these cost cutting measures by the manufacturers.
All you seem to get these days are the bare minimum to make is function, everything else is extra ...... Vertical poles. Monsoon poles, veranda poles ........
Hi. Lobey. We got one with our Kampa Pro Air but it is very flimsy. I went to a caravan dealer and bought a second hand length from him and cut it to size
As we have a twin axle I have been looking for a figure 8 at least 1.2m in length and it appears that it is as scarce as hen's teeth in a desert. A round trip of about 60 miles to collect.
Also looking at these as seem to quite neat. At them moment we use Velcro but over time the Velcro is looking grubby.
We bought a Vango Varkala 420 Air awning that comes as a complete package, it came with every thing needed including 2 types of pegs, a rubber mallet, draught skirt, 2 wheel arch covers in case you have a twin axle, rear poles and storm straps.

Hi. if you look on ebay you can get lengths of 1.2 but the postage cost are a bit steep. You need to ask around at local caravan dealers

Hi, how do you rate the awning, we've been looking at this vs the Kampa and can't decide

I have friends who bought Air awnings before me 1 has a Kampa it suffers from water pooling on the roof and he has had trouble with the hard plastic pipes the connect the air tubes breaking and leaking,
Our other friends have a Sunncamp Ultima air awning this also suffers from water pooling on the roof.
We are very pleased with the Vango it seen some really heavy rain and wind and because of the design with a greater slope on the roof water just runs off, the only slight downfall, because of the thicker material then even the Kampa Pro it takes 2 people to pass it through the awning rail, however there are loops sewn onto the ends to aid pulling it through with a long hook.
