I guess there's a good case to do as some posters have suggested and 'buy-what-you-like' - I was just trying to gauge if there were known issues with any particular brands. Raw numbers, I suppose, mean little, without the context of the volumes sold - I suspect that's why some brands do seem to suffer less visibly, whilst other high-volume brands seem to garner a bad-rep. As one poster observed - few people write on these matters when they're satisfied,
Both the Swift Challenger (Sport/SE) and Bailey Pegasus GT65 ranges appeal. We did look at the Adria Altea range quite seriously, but preferred the 'feel' of the other interiors (personal preference). That said, I'd like to look in one of the 2015 Alteas, to see what they are like. The Adora range is too heavy for our S-Max to achieve a ~85% match (which, as a first-time tower, I wish to remain within).
I guess we need to do as advised, take a good look at the models and bite-the-bullet!

Like in my post above ( here we go again), example, look at the post above, 50 caravans a month go back to bailey, are you seriously trying to suggest 600 caravans a year go back to bailey.
Try putting your hand in the fire, i heard that someone said it would not burn.
the information i got came from a bailey dealers employee,
Having resealed quite a few vans over the years, the main problem I've come across is lack of servicing, most sealants on seams are good for 8 to 10 years depending on use, climate, storage and whether the previous owners used the shower?
Most people put there vans in storage and just assume that when they pick it up after winter all will be well. I only buy vans that sit on peoples drives as most likely the owners will nip in and have a little clean, maybe a cuppa and talk what plans they have for next year, but thats me. Look for vans that have air fresheners and steer clear!
We are going down the bailey route as we have had two swift vans, and some problems with new and old along the way. I believe most caravans are basically the same, all mass produced etc., But I do like the design of the new unicorn range and so this is probably our last new van before age and a motorhome takes its place. We will be taking out the extended 10 year warranty though to protect our investment.
So just buy what you like and enjoy.
I'm not quite sure all caravans are basically the same. Some manufacturers have been far quicker to move away from traditional wood-framed construction methods than others. The appeal for me with Baileys is the construction method, plus the lack of timber in the walls, though I would have liked a non-timber floor too.
