Wanting a nice meal for OH's birthday we found a 'dog friendly' pub with a good restaurant and B&B in Northumberland.
Had a smashing Italian meal, (dogs were allowed in the Restaurant with us - another 2 tables had dogs with them and they were all well behaved and quiet unlike ...) the accommodation was also fine BUT
It is so much easier with dogs in the 'van because you can let em out for a pee last thing whilst in your jimjams and same first thing.
In future we'll look for restaurants in walking distance of a camp site - at least the bed in the caravan doesn't creak!!
Hi David, any chance of naming the B & B & where abouts in Northumberland? I too prefer my van but you never know when something different might be needed.
Thanks David. Alnmouth is one of my favourite places so will be giving the pubs a try. We love the HUGE beach which is also dog friendly. When my dog was much younger (he's now 14) he used to run himself ragged on the beach particularly when the tide was out, it's miles away.
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
