Although my meter records dampness in a couple of areas, there is no soft spots or staining anywhere in the van and no signs of damp to be seen.
The damp is only recorded when the needles of the meter pierce through the inner wall.
We did check it with a cheapo meter and then got it serviced before we bought it so we knew what we were taking on. So now it is just a case of monitoring these areas and checking the readings of my meter against those of the service engineer's.
Basically I would like to see our present van lasting until we give up caravanning altogether, say in 10 or so years time.
