Hi fellow campers

I'm looking at buying a 110ah XPLORER leisure battery from Alpha batteries £69.99 With 4 yrs warrantee has any body else had one used one and are they any good before I spend my hard earned cash

We have bought from them before. Excellent battery and great service. Could not believe it when it was delivered early the next day.
Wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

on a battery the warranty is against defective materials or workmanship.. it dosnt mean the battery will last for four years.. it may do but depending on use it may not.. he he

Having it delivered is all good until you need to send it back if its faulty.

Ordered one and got it next day and I didn't need to leave the house and for a price that beats local battery suppliers or caravan dealers .

Packed well in a box saying battery enclosed and full of polystyrene to protect

Yes it may not last 4yrs but hey what does these days but for rice and service you can't beat it

Have been using my Leisure battery since 2008, £50 from local car accessory shop, when not in use it is in the garage hooked up to a CTEK Zafir 90 charger, which seems to have kept it in good fettle for the last 8 years or so.

MY last Numax 110 AH battery lasted ten years and two vans until I over topped up, cost a bit more but I got my money's worth out of it

Yep, mine is the Platinum 685L 20H 85amps Battery

Just done a google and a new one would be £70 for the Leisure version, but the Caravan model is just £65.

Surely they are one in the same, or am I missing somthing?

Make sure it will fit in the space for the battery before you buy it. Get the h x d x w spec and double check. Some larger batteries just won't fit in the same space.
