Please help all window front of my van is wrotten with damp I have been in Screwfix today enquiring about wood to fibreglass adhesive for new frame. They sent me to a caravan workshop who told me I needed this tub of Bond at a cost of £84 a tub. I'v trolled the internet all day and can't get one clear answer to my problem .....can anyone tell me what to use and where to purchase.
If you mean you need to strip inside front of caravan to replace rotten timber frame then a good adhesive to use is Evostik Serious stuff which is an exterior grab adhesive. Price about £8 a cartridge.
I was always told damp at the front of the van was game over cut your losses get a replacement van that is what I was told true or not I do not know but chucking money at a van with damp around front windows is something I would not do good luck hope you sort out your problem

Please stop reminding me that I've got a similar job ahead of me....
First thing is to get a cover over it, to stop the water coming in any further. A tarp will do, just make it secure. This will also help it to dry out a bit before you start on repairs.
Our local boatyard uses Sikaflex to bond wood to glass fibre.
They are building ocean racing yachts. If Sikaflex is good enough for that, then it is good enough for caravans.
