So we went and picked up our new to us awning, it is a Dorema Daytona, used only twice last year from brand new, bargin of the century.
Today as it is a nice sunny day (yes sunny on the Pennines) we moved the caravan out of its home, and decided to give the awning a try (fancied a divorce this weekend,)
Took 45 minutes, fits perfectly, but I have one question.
When you get to the last piece to feed through the rail, is there a knack? I pulled, Hubby pushed so we could get the awning through enough to feed it in and then pull it down to the end. Is this the best way?
Thanks.

Spray some furniture polish like Pledge inside awning rail all the way round & it will make awning easier to slide in.

Do not use WD40 it will ruin proofing in canvas and rope in awning rail can cause leak down side of van from Dorema Castleford.
Use likes of Mr Sheen or other form of silicon polish or spray from ALdi/Llidl in yellow tin

Mark one end of the awning beading, then you know which end to feed into the channel
