I need to get some Towing mirrors as the one's which were passed on to us with the sale of our folding camper shake all over the place.
Now we've upgraded to a caravan,i thought get me some new one's but i've noticed there are Convex or Plain glass.Which one's are best or do you use both.
You can't go wrong with Milenco, I use their standard Aero mirrors - click here. Some recommend the bigger Grand Aero model, but I found those shook a bit, which the Aero's don't. I clamp mine onto the bottom edge of the mirror housing and they're rock solid.
Personally, I'm not keen on the convex mirrors; these are designed for a wider field of view, but in practice I have found that they exaggerate perceived distances.
Plain glass shows distance more accurately but doesn't give a wide view, while convex shows more of what's behind you but makes it look further away than it really is.
Some people have one of each: personally I have two convex Milenco Grand Aeros, the biggest mirrors I could find, to see as much as possible, using the car door mirrors as well to help judge distances.

First of all I would check your car mirrors. Most cars have convex mirrors fitted so it would seem logical to have the same for towing so you don't get a different view between car and towing mirror. Having spent many years towing in Europe the extra vision you get with a convex mirror is essential in my view. I would agree that Milenco are among the better brands of towing mirrors.
Hi Trev, another vote for the Milenco Grand Aero mirrors here, I've had both the plain and the convex and have opted for the convex now, they are not too curved and give me the image that suits me best.
As already mentioned it's very much down to personal choice I think. in my opinion you need to be able to try both to see what suits you best before committing to buy as they ain't cheap, so a sympathetic retailer is the key.

Mark Twain.
I have the grand aeros as well. Then again, my original mirrors are the same size, so anything smaller would look daft.
Really cant understand folk who use towing mirrors that look like they are out of a budgie cage. They must be next to useless, especially with a bit of vibration.
