Hi all, don't know if anyone can help? We've just got a 1994 Swift Corniche 15/E.Having some trouble with the water system on it...we sold our '07 Sprite Quattro last year and the set up is very different.Have a few questions if anyone can help?

1-We have cold water from all taps, but none from the hot taps.Have read up a bit,and it indicates it could be the non return valve so have ordered a replacement.

2-Caravan has an on-board water tank underneath.Does this fill up automatically?

3-The caravan has an external pump from the aquaroll.Does it have a second pump fitted anywhere?

4-How does it know whether to use water from the barrel or onboard tank?Is there a switch to swap them over?

Many thanks in advance,
Jenny

I went to look at one of these when i was looking, from what i was told. You connect the water as normal in the aquarol and open a tap and bleed it then fills the tank underneath, mean while you keep topping the aquarol up until the tank is full, when its all full turn off the taps

Hi again, thank you both for your replies.
We changed the non-return valve, and now have water through the hot taps-and as a bonus the water heater works yay.
However, have found a problem....someone,at some point, has disconnected the pump and water lines to the onboard tank. Not sure why, they must of had a reason. The problem now is the external (whale) pump runs continuously. From what I have researched in that model caravan, people switch on the whale pump at the switch, let it fill the onbard tank etc then switch the pump off again until its needed to refill the onboard tank again.Hence a dilemma-do we just switch the pump on when using the taps,or do we try and reconnect the onboard tank hmm.
If anyone happens to have this system or similar, and fancies sending me a pic of how its wired up etc,be much appreciate
Thanks again
Jenny
