Can someone advise me on the type of caravan to buy between a bailey or lunar, new to caravanning and not sure what to look for, I like the end washroom and side dinette. My price range is about £6000!

Hi Julie,

Both van manufacturers mentioned are well known for their relatively low weight. The weight that you can safely tow and layout may be what you need to find out first.

Julie,

Spend your weekends checking out all the caravan dealers looking at all layouts then buy one private. You will save lots of money and will probably get lots of extras, we got a full awning, porch awning, gas bottles, set etc.
We have just part exchange our caravan and all the dealer wanted was the van, we striped everything out and the items that did not fit the new van I sold off.

Happy caravanning.

What are you towing it with? Any licence restrictions? passed after 1997?

Any length issues for storing it? Any preferences so far? Side diner, fixed bed etc?

After reading on here that someone bought a Burstner Premio 450 TS at the Salon Caravan Showe Düsseldorf for 14,000€ which in Church of England is just over £10,000. Recently.

That was my mind made, for when the time comes.

Also on my radar was the Adria Altea Tay 432PX, which is similar to the Burstner, but unfortunately no longer available in the UK, although there is a UK dealer model the SportLine PX £13,000, same van with a few additions.

Both vans are 4 berth with Double fixed bed, which ticks all our box's.

At those kind of prices, I have almost decided against buying used, unless the right used van presents itself in the meantime.
