If you read my previous thread, you'll know that we were hoping to go and view a caravan about 40 miles away. I rang at midday and it had just been sold :( this had me feeling very fed up and negative. After getting over my grump, I went back online and found that just added to gumtree was a similar 6 berth caravan just 12 miles from us. After phoning the seller and chatting for a while, and doing a bit of online research we went to view it this afternoon! It comes with water and waste, battery, isabella awning, EHU lead and step. And, the price was £200 less than the initial caravan :)
Its a make I had heard of, but not a well known make - Fleetwood, Sonata Prelude, 2008.
I've added a few photos! Next we need to change the car to one that will tow it! Its in storage which we can continue with as its just 10 mins from hubby's work - perfect!
Goes to show, that when something falls through, something better is often around the corner!

At the moment we have a zafira 1.6 which we know isn't anywhere near good enough! We need a 7 seater as we're a family of 6, so are looking at a galaxy or s-max 2.0 TDCi

I understand you probably don't feel the need to go so big but if you want to tow that beautiful caravan and not know its on there then I can't recommend the hyundai i800 enough
That model is a rebadged Adria, I think. Adria owned Fleetwood totally from 2004 onwards. The Fleetwood name disappeared in 2009 but Adria importers are still based nearby at Sudbury. Owner's club here.
Looks a nice Van did it come with all paper work ... How many owners has it had from new...
CRIS
Has it been well service since 2008
Did you do a Damp Check .
i totally agree with what (Grampian91) says about car
Also you need a set of towing mirrors
Looks like you brought private after all .
I hope you have great holidays in your new caravan
Hi, congratulations on buying a Fleetwood/Adria. These caravans were made in Slovenia by Adria for Fleetwood. Fleetwood did not own Adria, they just imported them into the UK. In our opinion (and we are biased) they are a very well built solid caravan. You will probably notice that Fleetwood's have a nicer interior upholstery, often alloy wheels, exterior gas point, suspension, exterior 240v socket in wet locker that the Adria of the same year/model did not have as Fleetwood requested these to bring the caravans upto the same level of spec as their own they were producing at that time.
We hope that you have many happy years in your new caravan.
I would suggest having it serviced by a mobile AWS registered technician as soon as possible for peace of mind.
They are nice caravans and well made and as every one says, it is a rebadged Adria caravan. The MTPLM is 1400kgs.
