I got my caravan and moved it to the storage place! Very happy about that.

However, I need to get it cleaned. It's covered in green algae and the inside has a bit of dog hair/could use a good hoover. I have no access to a hosepipe either at home or at the storage site. Nor do I have access to a power outlet for the hoover.
There's a company called cleanavan.com that has leaflets at reception and I've looked at their website.

They sell "packages" of increasing levels of service, but I don't know if they'd let me cherry-pick the two things I want done. I just want the outside cleaned and the floors and upholstery hoovered. I don't even want them cleaned - I will be putting new runners down on the floor and covering the upholstery with fleece throws. I don't care if the caravan is waxed - I just want the green stuff removed. I'm sort of afraid to ask if they'd give a rate for just those two things.

Does anyone have any recommendations of either a mobile caravan cleaners or one we can drive to? For that matter, anyone know of a place where we can clean it ourselves?

Or  DIY  take upholstery and curtains home.   AlDI caravan Cleaner  will be on sale soon,  That is a bucket and sponge job, with an   extendable window squeegy / squeegee/  squegy,  OK  you know what I mean    17.    Avoid Jet wash of any discription.

Just outside the internal security gate on the corner of the warehouse is the water tap. Take home Vacuum with you on first trip out  when on EHU.

Use money saved to treat yourself  17

I did see the water hose outside the main security gate - a guy was washing one of the Housing Units delivery vans. I just didn't know that we could use it! But that makes sense as the guy who set us up with our spot told me that I could use the electrical outlet if I could find an extension long enough (not very likely! It's probably 50 yards away).

I was thinking I could use a soft-ish floor broom (nothing with too strong a bristle) for scrubbing at the algae, as well as a washing-up brush while standing on a step ladder.

The paint finish on a 25-year-old van isn't really something I'm too worried about preserving. Any reason I can't just use some mild household type of detergent like Star Drops? Or a car wash liquid? I really just want to dislodge the green stuff - not too worried about removing every black mark or anything. I think I'll get one of those pressure spray bottles to shoot whatever it is into the awning rail tracks, etc. I'll be careful not to force water in a an acute angle or anything. I may also use some diluted bleach on parts, but not near any seals.

Wait until a rainy day, tipping it down all day. Take carwash brush, stepladder, bucket & car shampoo, put your mac on & wash it down. Easiest way I've found of washing a caravan.
