Hello all just returned from a weekend away in the van, ok the problem is I can't seem to get hot water in my van!! I was getting it ok last weekend, now I think I know what the problem is. From my onboard water tank there is a clear pipe that runs from the tank through the floor off the van and out side, the van is a (swift charisma 590 2005) now this pipe seems to be snapped and there is water leaking from there, I believe that its dumping the water from the tank and that's why we ain't getting any hot water as there is none in the tank. Anyone came across this before and how to fix? Thanks

If it is the tube coming from red plastic elbow at top of heater it will need replacing as it will have lost the ball inside that acts as a valve. It is common I always carry on a spare in the van.

Just had a look at my friends van, he has a pipe the same running through the floor off the van and to the outside and it's the same as mine not connecting to anywhere , He said he can get how water fine, I think the tube I am talking about is to drain the water tank when you want to drain the tank. Maybe I need the yellow tap replaced which to flick over to drain your tank? On another thought I was flicking the switch over then it had a little bit more play to go and I was pressing it right down, would this open the valve a little bit? As it was a slow leak

It does sound like a failed drain valve. The bearings can get sticky and cause failure. Most decent accessory stores will stock it and it's a fairly simple job to replace.

Example here and here depending on the type currently fitted, although it's likely to be the first link.

Thanks for that, I will set it back up and will not push be water dump valve right down this time. I will just push it so it fits into place itself, I have just wondered when I was pushing it that little extra I could be reopening the valve slowly.
