Went to a semi local caravan engineers stroke dealer to pick up on some trim and got talking as you do. A very nice Nightstar outside. Asked if it was for sale. It wasn't. The guy had taken it in for servicing ,6 months earlier and had been promising to turn up and pay up for the last. . . .
Free storage? Now don't you lot go getting any ideas. . . !
------------- Peripheral people don`t have as much excitement but they sure live longer
I bet if they sent an invoice for storage charges he'd be there like a shot to collect it! Some people just love to take the p. Mind you, more fool the caravan place for accepting it.
I doubt he's a credit account customer (and even if he is, it would no doubt be 30 days). They ought to be charging a daily interest on late payment of invoice, that'd get it settled!
Better still, presume he's dead, sell it (at a very reasonable price, of course!), take out what's owing them (inc. storage, admin, seller fee's etc, and forward the change to his last known address!
The advantage is all with the caravan engineer. He can charge for storage before releasing caravan & if owner won't pay, caravan can be sold to recover monies owed.
