Hi hope someone can help, the mixer tap in my caravan kitchen sink has a leak at the base of the swivel part every time the tap is switched on, it is only a small leak but enough to wet the work surface behind the sink. Not sure if it could be a faulty washer? and if so can these be easily replaced? Any help grateful received.

The spout twists off very easily and you can check whether the O Ring is in tact. The O Ring is a cheap easy fix.
We had a little split in the thread which we fixed by melting the crack together with a soldering iron. But you can buy a new spout easily.

I went to open up & clean my van yesterday & found the same problem with my bathroom swivel tap. Would this be an easy fix or new tap? The end pulls out from the tap but I dont know about twisting off

The name of the caravans would help.
It may just be a simple job as a washer but,if water has been left in the tap over winter it may have split with the frost.Always cover the taps during the winter to avoid frost damage.

My c-o-c has a Whale mixer tap. If you look on top of the handle, there should be a small insert/plug that you can lever out. Look down the hole and there is a philips screw which is easily undone. Remove that then pull up the lever. Turn the shaft with a spanner and see where the leak is coming from. It may just be the gland nut that need tightening.
