May, 8 nights on the Swiss side of Lake Bodensee, then into Germany for another 4 nights, then 2 nights near Calais on the way back. Will be doing lots of cycling on the tracks around Bodensee and rivers side tracks when in Germany.
Another idea, just copy the link into your browser.
Currently at Stonehenge, a week in Cornwall in May prob somewhere in September and Somerset for Christmas. Plus any others can throw in. What area's would you like to go to?
We used to go to Cornwall when our boys were with us .
Now we are on our own x
So the gower for spring bank hol
July to Weymouth to a cl .
Then August to north wales then on our return to Malvern.
I always try and plan what we can do if the weather is good or bad .
Cornwall had lots of places you see and things o do now matter how young or old .
Weymouth I think is the same .
Not far from you but how about North Norfolk? Lots of places to see and visit. We are off there in July we visited about 5 years ago and stayed in the Cromer area. This time we are staying near Fakenham.
Or how about North Yorkshire? You have the Moors or the North Yorkshire Coast, you could even go to York for the day. We stayed at Wolds Way Campsite near Malton which was a good base for getting out and about.
We're off to Mundesley (on the North Norfolk coast) for a fortnight in the summer and that's not too far from Cromer, it's also a very pleasant spot. We also have a week in Keswick in the autumn. Then, in no particular order:
Skipsea (Mr Moos)
Brandesburton (Blue Rose)
Mumby (The Nurseries; not far from you OP)
Mid Wales (Coed-y-Llwyn)
Leyburn (CC)
Cotswolds (CC)
And that's just the ones we've booked. The last four on the list are ones we've not been to before.
Last year we 'did' Scotland - Dunbar, Rosemarkie, Ayr (wouldn't use the C&CC site again), Keswick and Morecambe. Previously we've also tried various club and non-club sites at Sheriff Hutton (near York), Beadnell, Kendal, Boroughbridge (never again), Clumber Park, and the Bubble Car Museum.
I also prefer the seaside but we're giving a few inland places a go this year
As I work Monday to Thursday we tend to go away for a lot of weekends and this year we're going to work on the principal of 1 hours travel = 1 night away so anything 3 hours away we'd stay for a minimum of 3 nights, for example.
We are off to Pickering, also have Cornwall booked and Cromer in Norfolk, I have never been to Norfolk so really looking forward to exploring the area.
Love going to Pickering as it is easy for us to get to in under 2 hours and once there I can bully Hubby into fish and chips in Whitby and I have found a fab bakery that do amazing pies.
Mid Wales for May and Yorkshire Dales/Moors border in August. We would normally go to France but our dog is 15 now and too old to be left with the dog minder so staying fairly local for as long as we are still blessed with him.
We went local over the Bank Holiday for the 1st trip of the year...Weather was terrible but it was great to be out in the van. Next trip for my annual pilgrimage to Le Mans 24 for a week in June and finally 2 weeks in France and Spain in late August early September and that's just the planned stuff...Spur of the moment trips TBC!!
