What do people use for the awning track, so it slides in the track easy. Keep reading about Aqua tex waterproof spray?

Any recommendations welcome.

Keep the track clean, Get a foot or so of old awning and pull it through the track a few times with some silicone spray or a PTFE lubricant.

Give it a good while to dry before inserting the awning.

Candle wax applied to the awning cord also works well to make it slide through the awning channel easier.

Someone recommended to us to wipe rail first then spray Mr Sheen polish in the rail and the awning should run through smoothly. We haven`t tried it yet.

I have used furniture polish in the past..it does work. I just keep awning material out of the way when spraying, even although I just give it a light spray and generally just a few feet of the rail as it spreads when you pull the awning through..

clean any moss out with an old toothbrush, you will be amazed how much crud gathers then mr sheen
