I have a lunar ultima 524 caravan that I bought in August last year so I'm new to this game. I don't think the battery charger is working. I have a volt meter in caravan. When the charger is working what should I see on the display? And does the switch for the pump and other 12v stuff need to be on or off to charge battery? Also, can I charge battery with a plug in 240v charger and still use the 12v supply or will I fry something in the electrics? Total novice at this. Sorry for all the questions

Your charger should be reading 13.5v to 14volts but a max 13.5 can be expected.

Your van needs to be connected to a 240v ehu supply for your charger to work,nothing in the van needs switched on or off.

You can use a standard 12v charger but i would take out the battery to do this.

Check that the fluid level in the battery is covering the cells..
