Sargent EC 325 Charger

Hi I have a very loud intermitent Buzzzzzzzzzzzzing from my Sargent EC325 Charger This can go on for a short period or for a long period it can be all day or just a few minutes sometimes this might then last a few days then it will operate quietly for long period then it will srart the buzzzzzzzzzzzzing again and this buzz is very loud. The charger has been back to Sargents but they cannot find a fault.
Help has anybody else suffered this problem or might know what's causing

You don't say how old it is but it sounds to me as if it is on its way out.

The charger in our van sounded a bit dicky and I bought a new one. It is a 3 stage charger and cost about 75 quid. Well worth it knowing that it will outlast the van.

Hi Thanks for reply The charger is only 4years old it has been back once to Sargent who said they could not find a fault So I sent it back again and they are doing a long term test. I have had some saying it could be a wiring fault with the van but I would not know where to start

At 4 years old it certainly should not be giving you any problems.
Mine was 17 years old so I had no qualms about replacing it.

Try sitting the charger on a piece of carpet.

Most chargers I have seen are screwed to a side wall.
