Hi everyone wonder if anyone could help I have a abbey freestyle and over the weekend i found the water pressure was low and none existant on the hot water side after investigation I found water pumping out the van on further investigation I found the water was coming from the top of the water heater I don't know if any one has seen this before or has any advice thanks guys

You don't say whether it was comming out of a pipe at the top of the heater or what make it is (perhaps a Truma), or even if its leaking out of a hole in the unit itself?

If it is an Ultra store or the newer Combi. Common thing is the red plastic elbow has a valve inside and this either leaks or disappears completely and water runs out of the clear plastic tube.One of these is a spare i have always carried in the van as having had one fail a few years ago, they are not always easy to pick up whilst away.

Yes it is coming out the clear plastic hose from the red plastic elbow where do u think I could get them do u have an item description thanks for the feed back guys

For a temporary fix you can just fold the clear tube back on itself and stick a cable tie around it.

The risk of this as there will be no breather vent, if pipe blows off there will be water on van floor.

'Temporary fix' = So you can get hot water and carry on with your holiday rather than having to go home and crying for a week) not suggesting it's a repair at all.

Or of course you could lay underneath the caravan and just stick your finger over the end of the pipe whilst SWMBO washes her hair........or stick a stick up it.
