Hi, can anyone help me please......  I am looking for an end annexe and inner tent for my green Polaris.  I have seen a few on ebay, but how can I be certain it will fit my awning.  I understand the zips have to compatible, but have they made Doremas in different widths, meaning there are different widths to the annexes, or are they all standard?  Also, if anyone has one for sale, I am in the Yorkshire area, but willing to travel in needed.

The main thing, other than the zip type, is to check the shape of the zip. Some Dorema awnings have an inverted L shape zip and the side nearest the van slots into the awning rail. Others have an inverted U shaped zip that zips completely into the awning. These two types are not interchangeable so you need to know which your awning takes.

I had some useful help from Dorema customer services when trying to source an annexe for a Dorema Sirocco awning. You could try giving them a call.

There are normally two width awnings which are 3 metres wide and 2.4 metres wide and the fittings are different due to this. A wider awning will have an annexe that zips up both sides and across the top whereas the narrower awning will only zip up on the outer side and along the top only. The remaining side (adjacent to the caravan) usually has a cord that slides into the awning rail to meet the top and then fixes in via a clip or similar.
I agree with 'Ronni54' regarding contacting Dorema customer services as they are very helpful.

Never had a 3m Dorema, tango55, but have had both fitting types on a 2.4m. The Sirocco was a side awning rail fitting and Dorema gave me 5 or 6 other models. The later 2.4m Daytona model was an all round zip. Seem to remember that both had OPTI zips.

My Dorema full awning is 3 metres wide which zips all round but never needed to try an annexe but it can be complex, that's why the best solution is to contact Dorema so you do get the correct annexe first time around. That way it takes out all the guessing and the possible chance of obtaining the wrong annexe.

Hi everyone, thanks for your comments /suggestions. I rang Dorema and spoke to a very helpful Gent (Edward Sandland)  He said I need to be looking for a L shaped zip, Opti zip and only those compatible with the Polaris, Pulsar or Flamenco would do.  At least I am better armed when looking at a second hand purchase!

You're welcome and thanks for replying with the outcome. At least you took the right course of action by contacting Dorema customer services and now have the accurate information you need in obtaining the correct annexe, so good luck with your search and hope you find the annexe you need.

Nice to hear that Dorema are still giving good customer service - especially to those not looking to buy new items. Hope you find an annexe soon. I bought both mine off Preloved and had one couriered from Kent for an extra ten pounds.
