Hi people, we are heading from Norfolk to Crowborough in East Sussex, we will be using the A11, M11, M25, A21, A26 i am looking at services/lay-bys to use for quick breaks......Thurrock looks about right for breakfast stop, does anyone have any idea what their caravan parking is like....got stuck in a service a few years ago and now like to do my homework prior to going!

If you mean the one just before the Dartford Crossing its actually quite good but it is a fair way from the facilities.

We will not use that one is awful and the smell of urine in the car park is really horrible, well it was the last time we went about 2 years ago. Hubby is a lorry drive and he will not use it because of the smell.
I doubt if its improved.

Thurrock Services in my opinion is a complete dump selling overpriced inedible food.

The services at Stanstead on M11 is where we normally stop on way back from Norfolk to Crownorough.
