Morning everyone, we are thinking of getting a standalone tele for the van, we have a 16" wall mounted one which is a bit on the small side. My question is - can i buy any tele or do I need to buy a low wattage one? I don't want to go and get one to find I trip the electric on site. Thanks in advance.
Consider the Avtex range, they come with a built in satellite de-coder, freeview and all the terrestrial channels. The tv's are 230 volt and 12 volt, low wattage and easy tuning.
I bought a normal 240 volt 32inch tele off E bay, with built in freeview and dvd player,as long as you are on hook up and dont use any high voltage utensils(Kettle, fan heater etc)then you should have no prob's,if you trip out in the van just turn one of them off.
If you always use hook up then I would recommend the technika TVs in tesco. We have a 24" with built in Dvd and it plays movies from usb. We have put loads onto a hard drive and leave it plugged in at the back.
Thanks for the replies. Just been to John Lewis and got a 24" panasonic - should have been £149 but spotted a battered box containing a customers return for £75 - bargain and with a 5 year guarantee - hubby very happy!!!!
Amazing family weekend with old steam engines, classic car displays, market stalls, and full catering and bar. And camping on site - Save £25 by booking in advance.
