I have a swift challenger 520 (2006) and need an awning inflatable asap. I have looked at the vango

http://www.vango.co.uk/gb/caravan-awnings/352-braemar-420.html

and it looks really good.it is a big expense though so i need to get it right.

firstly I'm struggling with the sizes will this fit? and are they good quality?

Regarding gas in France can anymore decifer the complex issue? I understated it can be bough in shops etc at a much cheaper price but the physical connection i have an issue understanding. I have a build in regulator in the van.

I've also got a swift connection for an external BBQ (gas) but i not too sure what the connection is.

many thanks

James

How long are you going to France for? Most take 2 6kg Calor bottle and they will last months just cooking if you run your fridge on ehu. You can buy French gas bottles in France same way as Calor in UK, ie you pay for bottle and contents then after that just pay for exchange. Depending on bottle, French connectors can be 20mm or 27mm clip so use existing bulkhead regulator on caravan with correct pigtail.

French bottled gas is as widely available in France as Calor in UK. The small Campingaz bottles can be got in both UK and France but expensive way to use gas though. If you want to take a 907 bottle as spare then adaptor for pol pigtail is avaiable.

Hi don't know about a vango inflatable awning but we got one from Awnings direct, it's a suncamp ultima air and it was really reasonable. They delivered it in two days.

French 6kg gas bottle Le Cube has 27mm clip fitting. You can buy a pol to 27mm clip adaptor in UK. Le Cube bottle is about 27€ plus contents 17€. So once you have bottle its 17€ exchange. Most large supermkts stock bottles at their fuel forecourt.

I have an Outdoor Revolution 1 for sale James. I've listed it for sale in the classifieds. It hasn't been used much at all and is in very good condition - it does have a small area of wear on the bug net on one side where it rubbed against a camping unit in the wind. Its very small though and could be easily stitched. I'm selling because I now have a motorhome.

If you're interested let me know. I'm in West Sussex.
