The other half and myself are thinking of buying our first caravan. We've seen a 2011 Spirite Muskateer ES, and was wondering if anyone had any feedback on this and what sort of price they go for secondhand.
Obviously I know what it's up for but have no idea if that's a good price for this van. It comes with awning, wheel lock, hitch lock, 6kg gas, approved NCC service, 25m EHU, 85 battery and 12 months warranty.
Thanks and look forward to any responses!!

to be honest I would always use an independent mobile service mechanic to carry out a pre buy inspection before commiting to buy any caravan whether from a dealer or private . The cost of £40/60 could save you a small fortune if there were any defects & will give you peace of mind if there isn't
Thanks for the responses! Just ordered a damp meter. Can you now give me some advice on areas to check for damp. Are there areas which are prown to become damp?

Katgar, I bought a used van, was new to it and did not realise damp was a huge issue, despite reading it on here, van had full service history, when I got it I found damp, bit of work and it's sorted now, could have been much worst!! I am sure the previous owners had no idea (I hope). I would give it a really good check, I now do mine all the time, check top corners and around windows, also check floor. I am far from expert this is just my experience. 10-15% seems to be the avg all over my van now, I think this is the norm. It I was buying first van again, I would go to dealer and spend the extra for the warranty....
Jam is absolutely right about the areas to check and old chap offers good advice if it is a private sale. Take someone that knows what they are doing. The £50 odd quid cost is small beer against the potential cost of repairs.
If you are buying from a reputable dealer you have some comfort with a warranty.
Thanks again!! This is coming from a reputable dealer and dies come with a 12 month warranty. Anyone have an idea what sort of price it would be. I don't want to get stiched up.
Also what sort of damp levels should I be expecting to get with a 4 year old van?

Watch out for the 12 month warranty ExCEPT FOR ....in the small print. You could search for the caravan model on google to see if there are any others for sale just to compare prices. Like this place, for example
