As in another post of mine i have brought a Abi Monza 2 berth caravan, but it had a split water pipe near the toilet, i have rand a mobile caravan expert but he can not come for another 3-4 weeks and to be honest i want to use it next week and would be nice to have it all sorted.
So just wondering if anyone is local to me who can pop over and have a mending few hours, willing to cover petrol ...
"Willing to cover petrol" is the probable reason for no response - many would see it as an "on the cheap" try-on.
If you know what the problem is, why cannot you fit a new piece of water pipe yourself? It isn't rocket science.

Bertie - This ismy 1st caravan and before i started to take things apart i thought someone would be local just to pop round and give advice while i do the job, as of not knowing if it would be easy or hard to do, but to be honest i think it best to get my toolsout and have a play
Slimer, there will be people on here prepared to give advice if you make it clear what you are trying to achieve. Is your water pipework plastic, and have the push-on connecting ferrules?
We had a 1988 Monza. The wash basin in the toilet compartment was of the lift-up type. Is this where your split pipe is located? Our toilet was a free-standing Porta-Potti and not plumbed into the van.

Bertie - yes the water pipes are plastic and our hand basin folds up as well, but the toilet is all built in and also has a shower but the hot and cold water taps have been removed .
Your van must be a later model than our 1988 one. You need to look for a reason why those taps were removed. Was it because the shower was converted for a storage area only? I've know owners to do this. Are the pipes all accessible or do some pass under the edge of the shower tray?
If you wish to use the van next week I would opt for quickly replacing the split pipe as a first priority, but check that removal of taps hasn't left a potential leakage of water in other places.
Longer term, bringing the van's water system back into original use would be a good idea.

Bertie - Just removed the back/top off the toilet area and found both hot and cold water pipes capped off, shower hose left unconnected and 1 block connector with no wires connect to 1 end (Blue) and the Brown looked to be bridged.
There is the hot water pipe connector missing and we are not sure on the middle hole inbetween he taps ?? and the shower head on the left hand side .
Am I looking at the holes for the shower taps? The taps(?) shown would appear to have side outlets to allow them to connect to a central pipe or diffuser head - what is that to the left of the holes in the panel?
Regarding wiring, I would expect the blue leads (negative) to be bridged and not the brown (+ve) ones. I assume the leads showing from the taps are from microswitches located in the taps. It looks as though there are pieces missing to rebuild the whole washroom pipework.

So it must be a submersible pump that goes into the water barrel, and did it come with the caravan? If so, it may need replacing. These pumps can be on their way out particularly if allowed to run dry a few times. Also look for silting up in the pipework and/or blockage in filter if one is fitted. Poor electrical connections can be another reason for lack of power.
"A lot of noise" suggests the pump is working, so check for the other problems before suspecting the pump.

If it has a water heater, this will only supply water when it is full. It fills whilst the pump is filling the system, and the pump will only stop once the system is full, which includes the heater. So what you now have to look for are: (1)a dump valve for emptying the heater, and this will have to be closed. (2) a pressure valve, usually close to the water inlet point, and this may need resetting, even if it still works. Its control is usually a small white knob about the size of a 20p piece in diameter.
Once the heater is full, water from it is pushed into the pipes by the pump when it starts up by being operated by a tap's microswitch.
I would make sure that no power is allowed to reach the heater element until the system is overhauled and set up correctly. This can all be done without the need for any water to be heated.
Your first job is to clean out the system and replace any dodgy pipework, then connect the microswitches in the taps and check that they are operating. They click as you open and close the taps, and a simple circuit test meter across each pair of wires will show whether the switches are working.
