OH is considering what we may change our much loved Adria for next at some point as kids are growing (headroom in triple bunk becoming an "issue" for daughter apparently!)
A sensible family layout seems to be the traditional twin diner layout with a rear diner you could leave up as a bed maybe (double of two singles if long enough) and then long front benches for singles
Finding this layout in a modernish single axle van (upto 3/4 years old maybe) is not easy as this layout has not been fashionable in UK for some time although Compass and Eldiss have versions now out, maybe its coming back.
One we have seen is the Coachman Amara 550/5 which only goes upto 2012 I think that has good compromise of all options although rear benches aren't long enough even for kids as singles
Or 2014 Lunar Quasar 525 hasa double dinette. The rear bench seats make a good sized double bed and the front benches are plenty long enough to use as single beds. It also has a bunk bed over the rear bed. Not sure you'll get one with long benches at the back.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
Interestingly Coachman are doing a Vision 570 for 2016 models with two large front and rear benches.
This definitely looks a good layout for growing family with decent size kitchen and separate shower, be interesting to see who follows suits as things generally go full circle on fashion and trends etc
