For information for those who need to replace a KAMPA intake valve. Or need to take bladder out for checking or want actual advice on electric pumps, read on. I am sorry if this already a post, but I could not find it!
Had a problem with our 2013 bought Kampa rally air 390, would not retain any air!
could not find a leak or puncture, striped air bladder out to test and found no leaks. Scratched head a few times and eventually found leaking of intake valve, so I put a little water in the intake valve to find a lot of bubbles, which indicated a leak. It was inflated at this time. searched high and low to find kampa spares, but nothing, took a chance on ebay and bought two valves that appeared to be correct size but they are a fraction too large, they are red and sold in pairs. so waste of 8 pounds.
They did not even fit our inflatable which the seller claims.
So could not source a specific kampa valve on line and kampa wanted 10 quid delivery for parts, when I called them direct to enquire about possible bladder replacement, they wanted £58, so I Purchased two valves for a sunncamp airvolution, taking another chance, and they worked perfectly. No more leaks. Kampa have no aftersales spares service to speak of, whilst other brands appear to do! Hence i will not be buying kampa again for this reason! I need to be able to source parts for gear bought especially expensive gear.
Also I researched electric pumps, because the task of blowing up during my fault finding was starting me to think of going to cheap pole awning. very little information on electric pumps found for air awnings. The kampa version at 99 quid appears to be discontinued or always out of stock, but very expensive, so I looked at the alternative, bravo, but it appeared to have functional issues based on an posted do not buy article. So that was out. The other versions were silly money.
I found one forum that mentioned the sevylor pump for £38 but expected it not to fit the valve based on the author, who stated he had to make some adjustment, also a Kampa rep (online) claimed the pumps were not up to the task!
well for those with kampa air awnings, it is up to the task, and It did it in less than a few minutes to 8psi. I know the awning is tested to 22psi so I could have inflated higher or up to 15psi with this pump. The pump is quiet, good lead length and comes with two hoses, one with a boat valve socket, comes in blue.
so hopefully this information will save you time, effort when you have leak issues, or if you are thinking of getting a pump. happy to advise anyone if they want to take their air bladder out for testing, its very simple. with little online instructions, well I found none anyway.

Thanks for the post very informative. Can I ask do you run the sevylor pump from your cigarette lighter ?
Thanks, yes you can. Only used it once in the garden on a power station, very quick, long power lead and very quiet. Highly recommend it and the spare valves.
Hi Paul sorry to hear of your problems but glad you are sorted. We found that one of the tubes wasNT holding air. We took it out and couldn't find a leak. We found Kampa very helpful. It had only been used twice before it leaked. Kampa sent us a new one free of charge and it has cured the problem. From our experience with Kampa we can't fault them.
glad to hear they sorted it, but I guess it was under warranty, just remember when or if you get another problem, check the value with a little water to see if the bubbles are visible, then you will know its a value. taking apart is fairly easy and if you can fix a tyre puncture then you can fix a kampa problem. Bestway do very cheap self sticking repair patches, highly recommend them should you need a fix in the field. used on our 14 year old inflatable boat and does the trick. Have you bought the pump yet?
Hi, just reading the thread there relating to the KAMPA Rally Air Awnings.
Just to add my experience of KAMPA customer service levels so that people can make an informed choice if thinking of getting one:
I simply can not fault them - KAMPA without a doubt have provided me with absolutely the best customer service I have ever experienced.
Now, that statement may sound over the top, however I have just bought a second hand KAMPA Rally Air 390 Awning off of Ebay for a bargain price of £250 (usually >£400). The awning was advertised as having a "slow puncture in the central crossbar section" however from the photos it didn't seem to have too much of an effect on the integrity of the frame. Either way I thought I would contact KAMPA and enquire about spare parts.
The next day a large box containing replacement inner tubes for EVERY section was delivered - totally FOC - No delivery charges or anything! This was unbelievable service!
Unfortunately it turned out not to be a puncture on the inner tube after all - it was in fact the connecting air valve at fault (failed O Ring) - so I contacted KAMPA again and true to form the very next day I received not one but two replacement valve units - again totally FOC with no delivery charges!
I now have a fully repaired awning for a bargain price of £250 AND also have a full consignment of replacement inner tubes should I suffer a puncture on ANY airframe section in the future!
I simply can not recommend the guys at KAMPA enough, Due to the service I received I have ensured that all my caravan accessory purchases go through KAMPA from now on.
I bought the decathlon 5.2 litre double acting pump for my air awning. It has a pressure gauge and as it's taller is so much easier on my back as well as inflating the awning faster and to a much higher pressure. 13 quid....

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I was thinking that, but feel better that you said it.
