Andy, I think Staffies are getting a tough press :-) I didn't know anything about the breed until we got our rescue Daisy. She's part whippet, part American staffie, and the other 30% is so confused she failed a DNA test.
I now pay lots of attention to the whippets and staffies we meet when out and I've found both to be absolutely gorgeous and good-natured but if anyone is going to try and climb onto me for a cuddle it will be the staffie
