Hi all,

We have a caravan shop sun canopy but are looking at an awning for longer trips.

Previously I had a full awning on a previous unit but I have no awning with the new Bailey pursuit we have just purchase.

I have been thinking about a blow up awning as these look like
1 they are so much easier to put up
2 weigh a little less.

Has anyone brought one of these and been disapointed they don't have a proper heavy pole type awning or are these an excellent swap ?

I grant you its not a Sunncamp but we are very happy with our Prestina 390 air awning. Pictures of which can be found here

We've used it twice each time in windy and wet conditions (the photos were taken after the rain had stopped!)

Each time it has coped well and it creaks and flaps less than a traditional pole awning.

Very happy with it. Only one teeny word of advice they are easy to put up IF you have an 12v pump.

If you want to expire with exhaustion then you can use the manual pump provided!

We haven't got one but I've noticed many comments about how heavy air awnings are when feeding them through the awning rail. So they may not be a lighter option.

We've had both the air awning and a couple of 'normal' ones - can't say I detect any significant weight difference just because its an air awning.

A well greased rail will cope!
