We have a favourite site which is 60 mls from home and we go there for a few 3 night breaks.
Thats about as far as I would travel for a short break, I know some others will travel longer distances.

Ok thanks we usually go to a site that's about one or one and a half hours away .
We live in South Wales so have a few sites in all directions from where we live.
My oh says it's not worth the effort of taking the van for just a few days . I don't mind . But we don't put awning up etc.

We've travelled 2 hours for a weekend trip. That was just for 2 nights, so 3 is like a long holiday

We would probably travel up to 2 hours for a three night break, setting up a porch awning is far easier than a full awning.

We leave ours sited so use it all the time, sometimes when the traffic is bad it takes me ¾ hour to get there, when the kids are that way out that's plenty long enough time to travel!!

One hour 45 minutes every weekend each way for 2 nights. But thats the maximum time we would drive for 2 or 3 nights. Well worth it for us and we anticipate each weekend with a smile!

Ours is half an hour away. Once set up with the canal behind us and pub along the tow path we could be anywhere. At least we are chilling and not at home doing mundane stuff around the house.

We once went to Newcastle Emlyn in Carmarthenshire for 4 nights at Christmas, but that was when we were working; don't go more than about 130 miles and have at least 1 stopover if going further now we are retired.

i go to a place in somerset for weekends.

3.5 hours there friday 2.5 back sunday.

M5 south is so bad on a friday you just have to take it if you want coastal or accept staying somewhere inland which is as dull as where i live.
