We're seriously thinking of getting a new 2nd hand van, but can't find the perfect layout.
What we need is a fixed double, dinette that folds into a single and a shower separated from the toilet.
We do a lot of rally field camping, so using the shower is important. Also, a lot of modern vans seem to have very small cassettes for the toilets, our old Fleetwood one is huge so will go a few days without emptying.
The problem with the wetroom layout is the floor is always wet so makes using the toilet unpleasant. I know we can't get a bathroom as such with all the other requirements, but just need a shower that's screened off from the toilet area.
There are only 3 of us (plus dog,) but we're now fed up with keep making up beds every night so would like the island bed, the dinette that can be left made up for my daughter, and leave the front seating free as I tend to get up very early and want somewhere I can sit and read, make a coffee and not disturb the family.
We want a large van, time is a bit tight so it would be great to not have to rely on an awning for extra room if we're just doing a weekend, just park up and be ready to relax.
Not bothered about the size of it, as long as it's UK legal but just can't seem to find anything that fits the bill.
Can I suggest you spend a few minutes at http://caravans.autotrader.co.uk if you haven't already done so.
I just had a 'play' and selected 6 berth, fixed bed, within 150 miles of Gravesend (don't know where in Kent you are or how far you are prepared to travel) and came up with a few possibilities.

Good luck
That's brilliant, thanks for that!
It looks as if the Elddis Odyssey 656 / 6 actually offers everything that we're looking for, now to get searching! :)
That is the problem with people asking and suggesting which caravan fits the specs. There maybe several but then the chance of finding one for sale in the right condition and at the right price and when your looking to but gets slimmer.

Have a look HERE
Choose from all layouts available, very good for deciding what's out there and if yours is just a dream!

I'm actually feeling a bit silly now, there are a fair few vans with the layout we want.
In my defence the local dealer told me that no-one makes one with that layout, but even so!
We originally was going for the odyssey too, or Sprite also do a similar/identical layout. But I guess you will swap the put up mattress on the dinette for a cut to size proper mattress?
We decided against the side dinette bunks and fixed bed purely because the caravan is "too full". We ended up with fixed singles this time for the kids, they are great btw. But still have to make up the front for us
Thanks for those. It's all a bit of a compromise, it's deciding what to give up that's tough!
The Sprite Quattro has the favourite layout so far, I really like the huge bathroom and L shaped lounge seating.
I think we're going to go up to the caravan show in Birmingham and have a nose round. The Sprite is so cheap we may even be in a position to be able to buy new, or at least ex-demo or similar.
Thanks for all the help, I'll post back with what we end up with!
Ah well, after all that, we put the deposit down on a '08 Bailey Pagent Loire on Saturday.
What helped make the decision was that the dinette was too short on all the vans we looked at for my daughter to sleep on so as she'll be on one of the front beds, the requirements changed.
It was also relatively cheap and in really nice condition.
It won't be ready until 3rd October so a nail biting wait now before we can pick it up!
This is the newest, and largest van we'll ever have had so very excited about it!
