You can but it's not advisable because of the higher wattage consumption, that's why the camping outlets supply low wattage appliances specially made for camping use.
If you have your hot water tank switched on then use a domestic kettle and toaster for example at the same time then it's likely to trip the mains electric supply especially if the site only has a 10 amp supply which the majority of sites are.
I would definitely recommend that you use camping appliances due to their low wattage. When we first moved from a tent to a caravan in 2011 we tried bringing things from home, soon got tired of re-setting the switch on the bollard. you can use domestic appliances if, as Tango55 has said, you turn off your heating, water or other higher wattage systems to reduce the power demand.
Thanks so much for replies we have no hot water as we are upcycling old van, it just has cold, we have no bathroom as we are not using it, after looking around I have found low watt stuff so thanks x
We have always used stuff from our kitchen kettle microwave toaster,with no problems but,you cant run the kettle along say the toaster as your drawing too much amps,Just use one first then the other.
We've always used stuff from home and never as yet tripped a site (Famous last words)
We've used turbo ovens as well as kettles and fan heaters over the years, you just have to use a bit of common sense and not use them at the same time.

I have a Lloytron Travel kettle (the cups are useless but the kettle is great!) and a three tier stainless steel steamer for use on the gas cooker and a frying pan. No piped hot water, just the kettle! No microwave, just the steamer!
