Good afternoon guys

we are looking to get back into caravaning as I am now semi retired, our last caravan was an Elddis Sirocco twin axle with an L shaped living area, I am after something similar, we basicly want the biggest living space possible as it's just the two of us, we are not that worried about sleeping space to much, I am looking at the moment at the Hobby, the Fende, or a Tabbert Twin axle as they look the roomiest, I was even considering a 5th wheel with pull out sides but the expense is a bit off putting for us, size towing is not a problem as I am an HGV 1 driver, and we are looking to tour Holland next year.

Thanks in advance for any help and advice

If you are looking at large twin axle German made caravan, be aware that max body length including gas locker(ie not overall length incl hitch)can be no more that 7mtres to be towed by a car, even a large 4x4, this is UK law. Over 7mtres & you need a commercial vehicle over 3.5t gvw. So take your tape measure when you go to view as some are just under 7mtres, some just over. UK built twin axles are ok to tow with car.

If you are looking specifically for a twin axle model I'd have a look at the new Lunar Delta Ri (its a twin axle end bedroom mid full width bathroom and the usual lounge arrangement allowing a double bed)

Novel but I'll bet it will catch on as it gives access to an ample bathroom to the occupants of the fixed double at the back or the people from the front double or singles as desired without the need for anyone to troup through someone else's sleeping quarters.

Just a thought

Best Regards

David
