On the truma heat system, when you have the air blower going with heat, is there a way that you can make 60 to 70% of the air go through the pipes and all around the van, rather than just a little through pipes and most of it blowing out of the main front grill ?
There is a flap at the back of the unit that can be adjusted, not sure just how easy it is to adjust. I must admit I have never tried it, we tend to alter flow with the little flaps at the end of the pipe. Are you allowing the heat to build up enough before turning the blower on initially?

If you put your arm at the back of the fire where the hot air pipes come out of the aluminium case inbetween the bottom two is a plastic lever that can be swung to the left or right to direct the amount of heat to each section of the van.
Thanks I will give it a try this weekend before it goes in to storage. My next job is to drain the waters system. I have looked at different things to help with this ,but the costa small fortune. X

I second clever's comments. I made mine for less than 2 quid. Have a look at others topics on this forum regarding drain-down.
To be honest, if you drain the fresh water system by gravity and leave the taps open it should be fine. I had an additional problem on my Thetford toilet that broke the pump when the trapped water in the system froze. Thetford heve provided a free mod since then so that it won't reoccur.
