Hope you enjoy your new 'van and have loads of happy trips away. Best wait till the wind dies down a bit though!

Still it will give you chance to research the awning market

Best Regards

Kampa awnings are excellent, we currently use the Kampa 400 Ace during the summer months and the 200 Pro for shorter trips and during the winter.

We favour a Fiamma sunshade for summer like the Caravanstor Zip - this means you can use it just as a sunshade but also zip in any combination of sides and front should you need either a bit of a windbreak or during wet weather a bit of a porch awning.

Unfortunately I didn't buy a big enough one at the outset so although the sunshade / shelter is brilliant it only makes up into a 2.9 metre porch awning.

Now we have a 3.9 metre sunshade but sadly the sides off the zip won't fit so I only have one side for it which can be fitted at either end.

We now have a 3.9 metre inflatable awning which is brilliant. Its a Prestina costs half the price of the two main brands but quality wise having viewed them side be side at the dealers I can't see what you get for the 400 quid extra the Kampa or Vango awnings cost.

Enjoy. We recently bought a new to us van bought it in July when we were on our 2 week holiday. Had it delivered to the site we store it on in September and have been up to it once since then earlier this month. We can't wait to get back to it next year. We have a porch awning from our first van that we bought in 2010 but need to get a full awning for the coming season, awning we have is now to small.
