Spotted this posted on eBay. Someone has had their caravan stolen .....
It's a Compass CONNOISSEUR . Stolen from Atherton Manchester, Monday night at 9.49pm.
It's recognisable by kerbside panoramic window, damaged down the same side on the door and side under the window.
It's a 1997 single axle 5 berth. The owner is offering a reward for lead that gets the caravan returned.
I don't understand why the police won't follow it up. Guess caravanners are low on their list of priorities. Yet up here in scotland they're out in force to arrest people for singing songs at football matches

Probably more to it than meets the eye. Look at the picture in the ebay listing, where caravan is parked. 21yr old caravans are not usually stolen so does seem a bit strange. Unless police can locate caravan then tie anybody in with the theft there is little they can do.
Your suggestion that police prioritise potential trouble at football matches sounds good enough to me. Crimes against the person, ie possible assaults/stabbings should indeed come before theft of an item that in this case is worth less than £2k.
It is until someone buys it and demands they sell it to them.
You never know with ebay. Someone asked me what colour the car was i listed, 12 pictures on ebay and over 40 linked from the listing and they couldnt tell what colour it was?
The pictures were in so much detail you could count how many hairs there were on the flies back that sat on the bonnet.
Or collection only items where the description started with collection only in massive red letters. Buyer leaves negative saying the seller wont deliver.
If you win an auction you get to leave feedback, unless the seller files a non paying bidder claim and win.
If they pay they get to leave feedback.
The problem with ebay is that they think everythings black and white, buyer claims item not received and unless you can prove they have received it you lose.
That is why you should not accept paypal for collection items. If i pay by paypal and then come and collect i can claim not received and win because you have no proof of delivery.
There is a caravan looks like it s been stripped, in the lay by opposite Chemtura on Tenax Road in Trafford Park Manchester yesterday when I was on my way home from work, highly unlikely to be this one as It was dark upon passing last night.
