Yes, like most people in Todmorden they can no longer get insurance. I have a cousin that lives near by and she is the same, she now has a house that is wrecked and can't get her insurance to cover any repairs.
It is very sad that there appears to be no help, lots of jobs and livelihoods lost.
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

This is so sad for the company. The people involved have lost their livelihood. You would think the Government would help companies in this predicament. After all they cant get indurance due to previous flooding.
The MD of NR was on local radio saying that they did have insurance (although in some previous years they didn`t). He didn`t think they would be able to get insurance in future, but this is quite possibly a smokescreen.
They had apparently not produced awnings for some months and were struggling to compete with cheap imports, so the chance of a payout and then cut and run would appeal.
Shame, as they made decent awnings at a reasonable price, and the workers find themselves without jobs.
They were very efficient when sending for spares or parts we have an NR porch awning and still love it .
It's quality and easy to use compared to many products today .
