For the last few weeks our Caravan alarm has been going off randomly at all times of the day and night, and the contol pannel has indicated each time that it has been caused by an intuder entering the main living area in our caravan.
Every time we have reset it, and inspected the locks, and could not find any evidence of a break in ect. We read through the handbook, which confirmed that tiny insects, small spiders ect, where not large enough to trigger the alarm. As l was sitting there inside the caravan, contemplating having to call the dealer who fitted it, l decided to pop the heating on for a while, and watched in disbelief as the dustbin bag covering our water hog started flapping like a sail in the breeze, right in line with one of the sensors to our our alarm!
We always leave the van on EHU throughout winter with the blown air heater set to 'Frostgaurd'. As the temps dropped, mainly in the middle of the night, the heater cut in, blowing warm air onto the offending bin bag about 6ft away from the vent, and its flapping triggered the flippin alarm to go off
Appologies to my neighbours and any passers by who must have been deafened by this extremly loud screaming alarm, which is normally very politely behaved and trouble free!
