Hi ,just bought an coachman amara , got it from a car dealer so no input, chuffed with the van, everything seems to work ok, but there's a 12 volt socket in the cassette cupboard, it's not for the full indicator light, that's battery operated ... Any ideas ?

just a thought could it be for fitting a pump to fill the toilets water tank ?

It won't be a connection for a 12 volt flush system as only the Pastiche and VIP models had that facility fitted as standard unless the previous owner had intentions of installing one. I can't think of any other reason why a 12 volt socket should be fitted in the toilet cassette tank compartment.

We had a 2005 Amara 530. It was supplied with 2 water pumps one normal and one for filling the flush tank. If I remember correctly the socket in the cassette compartment was a 2 pin one.

Well thanks every one , don't think I'll run to the expense of a pump, will just use a watering can 👍
We had a motor home before so some stuff still a bit green ☺️
