I am an Engineering Degree Student working on a project based around how caravan chassis may change in the future to meet changing vehicle buying trends. I also work as a Quality Engineer at one of the UKs leading caravan manufacturers and will be happy to assist any forum members where I can.
I would really appreciate some help from experienced caravan users by answering a short anonymous survey that can be found at the link above.
It is only 7 multiple choice questions and you do not have to give any contact details or receive any spam mail as a result.
would i be interested in a caravan that makes acceleration quicker and saves fuel?
well mr graduate what i really would prefer is a caravan that doesn't F***ing leak, made from ultra fast rotting wood and rendner itself scrap with in a few years.
work on that design principle before jumping ahead to a light weight aerodynamic caravan made with light weight materials that only last 2 years.
unfortunately there was no suggestions option.

The only way you will improve acceleration & save fuel with a given towcar is to make caravan lighter & more aerodynamic which will mean a deviation from the 'white box' style which makes best use of available space. The more rounded & streamlined you make it, the more living space you lose.
