We're one of those 'back to front' caravanners - as we run a busy B&B near the Suffolk Coast we can only get away during the quiet season:( - this means that we can only use our van between October - March.
Therefore its pointless having a new caravan that will just sit outside for 6 months of the year - In September last year we picked up a 1993 Sprite Musketeer on Gumtree, used it over the winter, and sold it again yesterday on Gumtree.
We didnt have any hassle with the potential buyers - we insisted that anyone came to view it first before putting in an offer, and as it turned out, the first people who came to view bought it there and then.
Plus the bonus was, we made a bit out of it as well:)
We'll be doing the same again this year, but buying something slightly newer. - All in all a good buying and selling experience, and no selling fees either
