Just about to cancel an order for a 524 quaser ordered in march told we would have it in early may (8 week turn around i thought that was bad) then told end of may now just been told middle of june over 13 week wait ridiculous
My wife wants me to be patient and except the delay as above I want to cancel. So folks its over to you who agrees with my dearly beloved and who agrees with me
Dealers of all makes tend to have new caravans lined up on their forecourts so why not buy one of those? It's the same as cars, buy one from stock & it's on the road in a few days, factory order & you cannot get a firm date. It's only a box to sleep in, if you want a new one then surely you want it now not some date in the future?
They will not sell you a latest model caravan from their forecourt until the production line for that model has stopped.
Don't talk to me about Lunar delivery dates Our van is in the only place in the country that can fix it and they waited 16 weeks on parts from Lunar. In total when we get the van back we will have been without it for practically 10 months.
According to the repair shop, Lunar are the worst in the business re delivery.

------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.

Unfortunately not this particular model and there is always a wait for a new vehicle whatever it is, the question is what is an excectable and more importantly a truthful time lapse

Sounds normal practice to me, manufacturers tend not to stockpile as they did years ago and build to order on a system of just in time, so your order goes in a queue to be build, or in other words built to order.
When i ordered my car the delivery was 12 weeks, when i changed my mind about the spec i ordered, they said, yes i could change the spec as long as it had not reached the production line, BUT it woud delay its build by another month.
Dealers will not sell you the forcourt model because they would then not have a demonstrator for its customers to view, and would loose sales untill they themselves got a replacemend to display.
If you wait till June for delivery the 2017 models will not be far off! Personally I would wait for a 17 but you run the risk of not liking the new version.

I'll upset a lot of people here but our new Bailey was handed over bang on time as promised. And it still doesn't leak.
As far as I can gather, the dealers pre-order from the manufacturer and call them off as required. They definitely had the production slot when we bought it.
Of course, manufacturers rely very heavily on many outside suppliers for all sorts of kit and may have been let down by one of them.

I may be lucky but, ordered a new van in October,it was delivered to the dealers in December, and that came from Slovenia,as said before, the manufacturers build to order,as mine was late in the year, orders may have been few and far between, although Adria do sell throughout Europe
