Hi there everybody , interested to know what others feel about caravan covers,do you use them in transit , or in winter when not mobile or just gather dust in garage .does anybody like the front covers to protect from stones whilst traveling

Never thought of using one in transit ... are they designed to withstand the air behaviour/flow round a moving van?
We use one throughout the time it is in storage ... really as a large dustcover as the indoor locked storage sees a fair amount of caravan movement throughout the year, and dust is a factor.

Don't think they are meant for transit (except the front ones)
I've got a protec cover i use during the worst months and a cheap roof cover for the summer. The protec one is excellent and protects it well when not being used.

I use my caravan cover in winter and when it's storage i never use it in transit. I think caravan covers are really good for protecting your caravan.

We have considered one but put off by having to have van spotless before you put it on. We are only off the road for 3 months max so haven't bothered. Also swayed by how few more experienced vanners on our storage bother with a cover.

hi I have a front window cover I use in transit just to stop stone chipping ,bought after two friends had broken windows at different times.it also protects front of van from worst of the weather keeps it cleaner in my opinion.

We've had a Protec cover for the last 4 years and it wasn't new when we got it. It has been brilliant and last year we even repaired a tear on the top rear corner. I also phoned Protect we had lost a tie and they happily sent another FOC. So I'm pro them, but would be interested in the experience of people who have bought Explorer Deluxe® Caravan Cover as we need to replace the one we have and the cost difference is quite considerable, so has anyone any knowledge of Explorer Deluxe® Caravan Cover?

I like the look of the Explorer covers, price seems reasonable for a big twin axle.

I have one, came with the van 6 years ago. Never use it, my thinking is that a caravan is designed to withstand all weather so why put a cover on it. 😀👍

I use one, and think that it protects the van from UV which will attack the paint and seals.
