I have a Sterckeman Alize Concept CP480 ...
It has a largish water tank'reservoir at the front, connected to a Truma heater ...
There is a screw top pipe from the outside, to injest water.
How do most people deal with that?
I suppose a hose pipe would be simple, but one cannot always guarantee being near a tap.
We have an aquaroll from FC days ... but how to get the water from it into the van ... pump? What sort?
Pouring it in from the likes of a spouted, smaller, container could take ages.
Be grateful for observations.
Do you have an external 12v connection (female 2pin socket) near the filler?
If so, there's a pump available to connect to aquaroll and pump in required amount Kelper.
If on serviced pitch you can carry a length of hose obviously, but failing these, I'm afraid it's as suggested above.
Just to clarify, does your external water supply - aquaroll or similar, fill your water heater automatically or is this reservoir you speak of an internal water supply for your hot and cold water supplies?
No, oxter ... just have a large tank built into the van ... that connects to all water outlets in the van .. taps/shower/loo etc, as well as to the water heater.
There is just a screw top pipe (rather like the fuel cap for a car) for water input ... we have an aquaroll to bring water to the van ... just a question of whether there is an easy way of getting it from there to the water inlet ... other than a watering can, or hose pipe, as mentioned above.
Is this system normal for all vans (i.e. the capped pipe)?
I don't think there is an external 12v socket ... can't check as the van is in storage in France ... I'll have a closer look when we next go roaming ...
just trying to plan ahead ... I think a long, flat hose may be the answer, and ensure a pitch hear enough each time ... keep the aquaroll for emergencies, and borrow a watering can!

I too have a Sterkeman with the water container in the van. When I purchased the van I asked for an external water port to be fitted. So I can use the aquaroll but if I am aboard with a fully serviced pitch I can connect with a hose.

Yes, thank heavens ... one of the reasons we bought it ... the interior design is really 'cool' ... so much better than anything we saw in any UK built vans ... and the drawer fridge was a revelation!
