Hi All,

I have just bought an old 1998 model Swift Corniche 12/2 and need to fit it up with security.
Along with a friend who has been a caravaner for a number of years, we searched for the correct type of Hitch Lock suitable for this van. The websites we looked at are not very informative as to which models are suitable. Can anyone here advise me on a robust make and model to buy?
Would appreciate any help.

What type of hitch does it have.A standard hitch or an Alko type with built in stabiliser or BPW.

Hi birdman101,

Thank you for your reply.

It's a ALKO type, but does not have a built-in stabilizer as there is part of a Bulldog type stabilizer attached to the van and the previous owner told be the other part which attaches to the car went when the car was given to his brother by their father. (Their father gave him the van). I have a photo of the tow hitch which read: AL-KO DGM 11716 CUNA (in a box)
            R2/S 1989 502

I've tried to type it here as it is displayed

If so this will lock it from being used
